Dave'n Penny No words can express our sympathies, PJ was an apple in her
Moms & Dads eyes, a wonderful girl, our condolences to Gram Marsha,
Kelly, Billy, Ted, Cindy, Grandparents Dave & Flo...Our thoughts and
prayers to all..Ruth & Bill Kichton
My thoughts and prayers are with you both. PJ will always be the bubbly
red head who was always willing to give friendly advice and a smile. She
will be missed, and will forever be your angel.
Penny & Dave: We are devistated by the news of PJ's passing. She will
always remain in our thoughts, expecially down at the farm in Maine. She
was beautiful and the apple of your eye. She gave much of herself in her
short time on earth and will be remembered by all who knew her.
My heart goes out to the both of you and your family. I grew up in NR
and its truely a unfair tragedy when one of our classmates dies so
young. But in your case especially the words "Only the good die young"
make complete sense! And as your license plate said, you will always be
"PJs MOM" and DAD. Your family will remain in my thoughts and prayers.
Dear Penney and Dave,
Whether it was sitting next to each other for years in band, or playing
softball through our younger years, my memories of PJ will always stay
in my heart. Such a beautiful, vibrant girl, with so much to offer. God
bless your family, and rest in knowing she is your angel up above.
Dear Penny and Dave,
I couldn't believe my ears when I first heard about the terrible
accident, and then, when I heard the names I was stunned. The young man
lives in my neighborhood although I really did not know him, Then, I
thought that it could not be the same PJ Richards that I remember as
such a happy, bouncy little redhead in my pre-school class. Not only do
I remember P.J., but I recall how involved and helpful both of you, as
parents,were in support of CCP.
All I can do is express my heartfelt sympathy in the loss of your
beautiful daughter. You will have precious memories, but that hole in
your hearts will take a long time to start closing, even a little.
Although my husband does not know you, he joins me in sending our
thoughts and prayers.
In loving memory,
Dear Penney & Dave, we didn't know your daughter nearly long enough! The
short time we did know her, she mad a very big impression on us. Sweet,
helpful, friendly, kind and full of fun! Her smile and disposition was
absolutely wonderful! You are our thoughts and prayers! The Petersen
Family (Mike's Aunt, Uncle & Cousins)
Penney and Dave. I know you wanted to hear about memories with Penney
and how she touched lives. I want to tell you about the night of our car
accident. While we up there, there was this guy that i had a crush on
and all he was interested in was Penney (how could he not have been) and
i got jealous (how could i not lol) Penney being the most amazing person
that she is took me outside and told me how beautiful i was and that she
had no interest in this punk of a guy. I dont think i could have felt
more amazing after talking to her. Then when we got in the accident she
stayed by our sides the entire time, never leaving us. With what we went
through we became closer and i was so comforted by her presence. She
even came by to see us the next day when her herself was sore. I want
you both to know you are phenomenal people and you have the most
beautiful, caring, and down to earth daughter. Shes going to make all
the other angels jealous. Love you Penney lane.
DEAR PENNEY AND DAVE, WE JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW, THAT YOU ARE ALL IN OUR
THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS, AND KNOW HOW MUCH WE CARE. PJ WAS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL
YOUNG LADY, WITH DEEPEST SYMPATHY, DAN AND KATHY CLEARY, WAUKESHA, WI.
Penny and Dave,
PJ has touched so many lives, and she will be missed so much. You are in
my thoughts and prayers.
Our deepest condolences to all of you, our thoughts and prayers are with
you.

Penney and I started working at MGH about the same time last summer.
Being in a new job, its hard to get to know who you will really get to
know and like. Penney was someone I knew I would like right away. She
was always smiling and helpful and I knew that she really cared about
our patients. I am so sorry for your loss and for ours. We will all miss
her.
Dave and Penny,
I was deeply saddened to hear of the loss of your daughter. Please know
that all of you are in my prayers.
Rest in Peace my Friend...
I have many memories of PJ, all of them wonderful. My 2nd grade birthday
party she had the best outfit on: black and pink striped pants with
suspenders. I think there was also some neon green in that mix. I also
remember driving in “PJ’s Mom” car and listening to James Taylor songs.
A couple of years ago, I saw PJ for the first time since high school. We
were both single girls out on the town and it was nice to sit, have a
drink, and reconnect. My friends liked her instantly because that was
the type of person PJ was. She was confident yet humble, beautiful
beyond belief, and someone this world will truly miss. Thoughts and
Prayers.
I am so sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of working with Penney
at the MGH Cancer center. She was a wonderful caring person who will be
sorely missed by many.
Marsha Rich, North Reading, Massachusetts
Mr. and Mrs. Richards,
I want to extend my deepest sympathies and condolences in the loss of
Penney. She was a spark in the lives of all who knew her. She was taken
too soon and she will be sorely missed by all. I was lucky enough to
have known her and I know that anyone who has been touched by having
Penney in their lives is saddened by this tragedy. Again I am so very
sorry for your loss.
Words can't express how sorry I am for the loss of Penney. I cannot stop
thinking about her and what your family is going through. Take comfort
in knowing she is at peace.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Penney was truly a sweet, caring and
intelligent person. I had many great times and lots of laughter whenever
she visited all of her friends at UMass.
Please accept my deepest sympathy.
Penney,
You didn't deserve this. You are missed terribly by your friends and
family. I'm glad the sun came up for you that morning, just as you
wanted. We all miss you.
Always,
Mark
Those we love remain with us
For love itself lives on,
And cherished memories never fade
Because a loved one's gone.
Those we love can never be
More than a thought apart,
Far as long as there is memory,
They'll live on in the heart.
We met Penny a few years ago, I got to know her better at my son's
wedding in California, we met a few more times along the way, she was a
joy to know,
as well as remember,
So sorry for your sudden loss.
Penney and Dave, What an ourpouring of love for Penney Jane at her wake
tonight. I hope you find comfort in knowing that she was loved by so
many. She would have been so proud of your strength, grace and poise in
standing up beside her. I am so glad that she was happy in her new job -
even though I missed working with her very much. She will remain in my
heart always as one of the finest young ladies I had ever met. With much
love.
Susan Balboni ( aussie Sue)
Penny, words cannot express my feeling for your loss, you and your
husband will be in our prayers. I am sorry not to have had the pleasure
of meeting your daughter, from what I have read she sounds like she was
a wonderful young woman.
Penny--
Bill S. told me about the passing of your daughter. I am so sorry about
your loss. I wish you and your family peace.
Dave and Penney.
I am having a hard time composing myself. Although I was unfortunate
enough never to have met your daughter, I know she was incredibly
special. You are both such loving parents and it is unfathomable that
you find yourself in this situation. My heart goes out to you and your
families. The only comfort I can find is that she is with both of our
dads, Norm and Bruce.
Love and peace,
Sonja Nathan Bradstreet
Beautiful PJ ... I will go on knowing that you know how much I loved
you. If I had it to do all again ... I would. Your smile will sustain
all of us until we can hold you again. Aunty Debra

this morning. My sincerest sympathies to you and your family. My

someone so suddenly. Please take comfort in the knowledge that all your
friends and colleagues at HcPro have you and your extended family in
their hearts and prayers. Sincerely, Mike P

Mr and Mrs Richards,
Please accept my deepest sympathy at the loss of your beautiful daughter.
I had the great privilege to spent the last several weeks working along
side Penney. I admired her dedication, her compassion and her
determination to make a difference in the lives of our patients
especially because of her Mom and her experience.
All of us were blessed to have had the opportunity to have met her and
been the recipient of her kindness, her smiling face, her energy and she
will be greatly missed.
I don't think there are enough words to express how sad everyone's
hearts are for the loss of Penney. She was taken too soon and leaves
behind so many friends, memories, and smiles. We will always cherish the
times we spent with her and the celebrations we shared. We are so sorry
for your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Dave and Penny,
I am not sure if you remember me, but I was Ed Peek's step-daughter. I
heard the news about PJ, and all I could think of was when we were
little and Kelli and Matt and I would come over sometimes and we would
all play together. I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers
go out to you and your family.
Nicole Pelosi
PJ
HE called you too soon, but, we must believe there exists a reason for
your
latest journey.
A great hole, impossible to fill, has been left in our lives, and the
lives of all who knew you. We know you'll find joy with loved ones who
have gone before.
And we know that Noble will, again, bask in the glow of our 1983 Penney.
So, until we meet again, all our love.
Nana and Paree

Mr & Mrs Richards, Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of
your beautiful daughter. I truly enjoyed working with Penney & will miss
her always. You should be very proud of Penney & all she achieved in the
short time she worked with us. The patients all loved her & will truly

lost Penney through such a tragic accident. Please know my thoughts &

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Richards,
When I met you tonight at Turner's I just did not know what to say to
you when you told me about your daughter. I still don't. It is just so
tragic. I just want you to know how very sorry I am for your loss. And I
wish I had hugged you both. I was just so shocked.I have a daughter your
age. Just the other day my daughter and I talked of a friend who had
lost her son at 20 years old, and how their lives had forever changed.
My daughter said "Mom, don't stop living if God forbid anything ever
happens to me. Then my life would have been for nothing." Even having a
conversation with your child about something like that seems so surreal.
Yet sometimes life is so unfair. Some people do face the unimaginable
task of burying their own child. I can not wrap my mind around the
magnitude of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your
husband. Again I am so very sorry.

Dave & Penney, We also are in shock after hearing of this tragedy. We
know that words cannot express our true & deepest feelings at these
hours of loss & sadness.
But please do accept our sympathies, & know that our thoughts & prayers
are with you & PJ at this terrible time.
Dave & Penny
My thoughts and prayers are with you both at your time of sorrow.
Dave & Penny - I'm at a loss for words to say to you. My heart aches for
you on the devastating loss of your beloved "PJ". My deepest and
heartfelt sympathies go out to you both and the rest of your family.
We were so happy to have Penney working with us in the radiation
department. From her first day, we knew we had found a gift to the
Cancer Center. She was always so willing to help and so interested in
learning. She truly had a gift and in the short time we worked with her
she left a mark in our hearts that will last forever. We extend our
sincere sympathy to you.
Penney was an amazing young women with an amazing soul. Penney was a
very caring young women, who cared deeply for everyone around her.
Penney was taken much too young and she will remain in our hearts
forever.
Penney was a incredibly wonderful addition to the MGH/North Shore Cancer
Center, where she was immediately recognized as a most valued
care-giver. She never shirked any responsibilities and was most
empathetic to her patients. We will sorely miss her and her unlimited
and unfulfilled potential. Her family should be very proud of her
wonderful contributions in so short a period of time. Her loss is a
tragedy which can never be replaced.
The words have been taken right out of me. I cannot begin to express
what an untimely tragedy PJ's passing is. She was a great friend, so
caring, so funny, so full of life. She will never be forgotten to time.
I will always miss her. My sincerest condolences to you, Penny and Dave,
and to your family. My heart is with you during this sad time.
I am very sorry for your awful loss.I did not know her but from the
people who told me of her she was a happy, cheerful, giving, wonerful
woman.I know Joe and they were best of friends,Please accept my deepest
sympathies.
Ed and I are heartbroken to learn of your loss. Words are inadequate.
Please know that we are thinking of all of you with love, prayer and
sympathy.
I just really got to know Penney this year, and what a wonderful and
vibrant young lady was...Please know your family is in our prayers.
Please accept our deepest sympathies.
Dave & Penny,
There are no possible words of comfort that I could possibly write to
you at this time because "Webster" hasn't yet written them. I share your
pain, your tears and your heartache for PJ. I wish I could just make it
all go away for the both of you. You are in my every thought and prayer.
And Penny -- the "sun will shine" again -- one day.
PJ touched all of our lives. I was and am so proud of her. When she
chose a medical career I could not have been more prouder if she were my
own daughter. I wish I told you more often. Auntie Cindy will always
love you.
Words cannot express our sympathies to your family and to all of those
who knew and loved PJ. Such a tragic loss of a remarkable young woman
cannot be comprehended. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you during
this extremely difficult time.
David and Penny - I remember your beautiful daughter from the Masquers
Club when she was in high school. My deepest sympathies for your great
loss.
We never met, but I knew you through your Mom.
Sleep young Lady and peace attend thee.
My heart is breaking...sending many hugs and prayers to all of you. PJ
was such a shining star, and the entire world will never be the same for
her loss. May God hold you in his arms and comfort you. Much love, Carol
(Nitchie) McGee
Dear Dave & Penney,
There is no bond as strong and deep as that between a parent and child.
Your loss is utterly devastating and beyond any words I can express.
Please accept my deepest sympathies to you and your loved ones.
